Dairy Management

2007 Autumn Review Dairy Sale CatalogThe dairy industry is the largest of all agricultural enterprises in New York.  It also ranks third in the nation in the production of milk.  Many students who choose the Animal Science - Dairy A.A.S. Curriculum at Morrisville State College, seek employment in the dairy industry, work at their family farms, join the BT Dairy Management program offered at Morrisville State College, or transfer to a Land Grant University or other 4-year campuses after completing their degree.

Students enrolled in the Animal Science - Dairy A.A.S. Curriculum benefit from several facilities available on campus, including a state-of-the-art dairy complex which houses more than 200 milking cows. Numerous facilities are available including a free-stall dairy complex with an electronically enhanced milking parlor and student-managed computer system. In addition, a 200-head heifer facility and calf greenhouses provide a tremendous learning environment for dairy students. Morrisville State College also owns more than 500 acres of cropland to grow their own forages.

A detailed description of the Animal Science - Dairy (A.A.S.) program offered at Morrisville State College is available on-line in 'pdf' format (Download DairyMgt.pdf).
