Speaker Bio

Corey Mosher

Corey is the Executive Director of the Legislative Commission on Rural Resources. The Commission, established in 1982, works to promote the needs of Rural New York along with its Senate and Assembly members.  Corey comes via his family's farm in Bouckville, NY where he spent the last twenty years cultivating crops and a family. After graduating high school in Virginia, attending college in Indiana, and serving the community in inner-city Baltimore, Corey was drawn to Central NY to work as the 4th generation of Moshers on the family farm.

As his responsibilities grew on the farm, Corey explored ways to apply his distinct experiences and extend the advocacy for farms and rural communities. This desire to branch out led him to join the Cornell agricultural LEAD program and also joined the board of the New York Vegetable Growers Association, The National Barley Improvement Committee, and Chair the board of Madison County Cornell Cooperative Extension.

He and his wife Lisa, along with their four kids, Ryan, Reece, Rylie, and Rogan currently reside in Madison County.
