Brockport comes from behind to nab 2-1 victory over Morrisville State

BROCKPORT, NY – Host Brockport scored twice in the second half to nab a 2-1 come from behind victory over visiting Morrisville State College field hockey Friday afternoon in Brockport.

Brandi Ralfalko (Great Meadows, NJ) gave the Mustangs the one goal lead at the 19:37 mark off an assist from Sybil Stanton (Walton, NY).

Brockport’s Madison Buckley ignited the Golden Eagle fire, netting the equalizer at 51:26. Five minutes later, Crystal Moot tallied her seventh goal of the season, giving Brockport the 2-1 lead, and eventual win.

Morrisville State’s Kelsey Pellegrino (Cicero, NY) recorded the loss in net, saving 13 as the Mustangs drop to 3-4 on the season, 0-2 in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action.

Kasey Schreiner made six stops in the win for the Golden Eagles, who improve to 5-4 overall, 2-1 in the SUNYAC.

Morrisville State returns to the field tomorrow, hosting SUNY Geneseo at 5 p.m. on Drake Field.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
