The Morrisville State College Theatre Department and the Student Government Organization (SGO) will present the play, You Can't Take It With You, Oct. 29-31 and Nov. 4-6, in the Little Theatre of the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC) on the Morrisville State College campus.

The Morrisville State College athletic department invites all area children to take part in the NCAA Football's sixteenth annual “Take a Kid to the Game” (TAKG) program as the Mustangs take on nationally ranked SUNY Cortland, Saturday, October 23 at 1 p.m. in the college's stadium. Kids, ages 12 and younger, will receive free admission with the purchase of an adult ticket.

The Mustangs fell to Hartwick College tonight in Morrisville. The team's overall record drops to 6-16.
The Mustangs won the first two sets 27-25 and 28-26. Hartwick came back and won the last three sets 25-22, 25-16 and 15-6.
The Mustangs' Nicole Wright (Dryden, NY) had 15 defensive digs, one solo block, one assist and 14 kills. Deanna Zbikowski (North Syracuse, NY) had 34 assists and five kills.

The Morrisville State College athletic department has recently named sophomore Kelsey Pellegrino (Cicero, NY) and senior Sean Barrett (Hopewell Junction, NY) its Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 10.
Pellegrino, goalkeeper for the field hockey team, was instrumental to the team's 2-1 overall week, tallying 26 saves in three games while posting State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) wins over Oneonta and Oswego.

Visiting Penn State Abington women's soccer posted a 2-1 lead at the half and added two more in the second to claim the 4-2 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over host Morrisville State College Sunday afternoon in Morrisville.
Alyssa Tunkel (East Meadow, NY) gave Morrisville State an early 1-0 lead, connecting on a free kick from outside the box just 3:03 into the contest.

Penn State Abington's Alix Edwards broke free of the defense on a fast break in the overtime period and fired the game winner into the net to claim the 2-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over Morrisville State College men's soccer Sunday afternoon.
Sebastian Hernandez gave Abington the goal advantage midway through the first half, placing a free kick into the left upper corner post that deflected into the net in the 26th minute.

Morrisville State College field hockey team beat SUNY Oswego 3-2 today in Oswego. The team's overall record becomes 7-7 and 2-4 in SUNYAC play.
The Mustangs' took an early lead after Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, NY), assisted by Lauren Bordonaro (North Tonawanda, NY), scored only three minutes into the game. Bordonaro scored six minutes later, assisted by Anderson, to add to the lead for the Mustangs.

The Penn State Berks Nittany Lions shut out the Morrisville State Mustangs 3-0 today in Morrisville.
With five minutes remaining in the first half, Brie Arnold (La Plata, MD) scored the Nittany Lions' first goal unassisted.

The Morrisville State College football team dropped a heartbreaking 31-28 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) loss Saturday afternoon to host William Paterson, as the Pioneers kicked a 20-yard field goal with just 13 seconds remaining for the victory in Wayne, New Jersey.

The Mustangs overpowered the Nittany Lions' 4-1 today in Morrisville. The team's overall record becomes 6-4-1 overall and 2-1-1 in NEAC play.
The Mustangs took the lead 15 minutes into the game when Erik Whitcombe (Ogdensburg, NY) scored, assisted by Tony Vorndran (Millville, NJ). Two minutes later Nittany Lions' Matthew Kelly (Norristown, PA) tied the game back up, assisted by Zachery Alesi (Kutztown, PA).

A popular exhibit featuring the work of the famed “Magic of Macabre,” Lee Brown Coye, is on display at the Donald G. Butcher Library at Morrisville State College through Nov. 5.
In addition to the display, a reception honoring the work of Coye, who died in 1981, will be held in the library on Wednesday, Oct. 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. The display and reception are free and open to the public.

Morrisville State College is hosting the New York Nut Growers Association (NYNGA) fall meeting on Saturday, Oct. 23. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the John W. Stewart Activities Center (STUAC), and includes presentations, student posters, a chestnut roast, and tree planting. The cost to attend is $18 and includes breakfast, lunch and handout materials. Morrisville State College students may attend all presentations at no charge.

Morrisville State College held its twenty-first annual standardbred sale, taking in approximately $1.6 million.
A total of 186 yearlings were sold for an average of $8,563, including 19 yearlings consigned by the Morrisville State College Equine Institute.

Megan Lefeber scored both goals for the Eagles, one in each half. The first goal was scored 32 minutes into the half, assisted by Kelsey Kimball. The second goal was scored midway through the second half, assisted by Amanda Barton.

With the win, Morrisville State improves to 4-6 overall.

Morrisville State College sophomore Austin Townsley (Horseheads, NY) led the men's cross country team to a fourth place finish at the Cazenovia College Homecoming 8k Invitational Saturday afternoon, crossing in 16th position overall.
Townsley completed the race with a time of 29:58.2.
Benjamin Sargrad (Manlius, NY) was quick to follow, finishing in 18th place a mere two seconds behind Townsley.

The Morrisville State College football team picked up their first victory of the 2010 season, posting an upset New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) win over the visiting SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles 48-41 Saturday night under the lights in Morrisville. This was Morrisville's first ever night football game in the history of the college.

Morrisville State College volleyball defeated both Cazenovia College and D'Youville College today in the Cazenovia Dig Pink Tournament.
In the first match, the Mustangs took the Cazenovia Wildcats in four. Cazenovia took the first set 25-19, and the Mustangs followed with three straight set wins 25-13, 25-22, and 25-19 to beat the Wildcats.

Morrisville State College men's soccer team tied with Wells College after 110 minutes of intense action. The Mustangs' overall record now stands at 5-4-1in the season.
Twenty-four minutes into the first half, Andrew Brobbey (Bronx, NY) scored the only goal for the Mustangs, assisted by Brendan Nally (Burnt Hills, NY).
