The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2011 women's lacrosse all-conference teams, naming six Morrisville State College student-athletes to its three teams.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its softball all-conference teams, naming Morrisville State College outfielder, Kate Jones (Valley Cottage, NY) to its second team. Mustangs head coach, Tom Blackford, was named co-Coach of the Year.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team concluded their regular season with a 9-4 non-conference victory over visiting Vassar College Friday night in Morrisville. The Mustangs improve to 11-3 overall while Vassar drops to 5-9. Morrisville State led 3-1 at the half before posting three goals apiece in the third and fourth quarters to claim the win.

Third seed Morrisville State College softball team split the first round of North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Friday, falling 3-0 to second seed SUNY IT before edging fourth seed Cazenovia 5-4. Morrisville State improves to 15-14 with the wins and advances to play top seed Keuka College Saturday at 12 p.m.

The Alfred University women's lacrosse team's 2011 season finale, Tuesday evening, April 26, at home against Morrisville State, was postponed due to poor weather. The game was stopped due to heavy rain and lightning. The stoppage came 52 seconds into the contest with Morrisville leading 1-0. No decision has been made on whether or not the contest will be made up.    

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) released its men's lacrosse championship tournament bracket, awarding Morrisville State the top seed. The Mustangs claimed the regular season title for the second time with an undefeated NEAC record of 6-0, are the top seed in the tournament for the second straight year, and look to defend their 2010 NEAC Championship Title.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team rolled to a 20-9 victory over host Wells College in Aurora Monday afternoon, claiming their second straight regular season conference title with a perfect record. The Mustangs take the title for the second straight season with an undefeated North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) record at 6-0, while improving their overall record to 10-3.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team, together with the Morrisville and surrounding communities, raised more than $2,800 Saturday, April 16th for the Wounded Warrior Project, raising awareness about the program which helps injured service members returning home from battle.

Morrisville State College student Hai Nguyen took top score in the spring semester New York State Mathematics Association of Two Year Colleges (NYSMATYC) Math League Competition. Competing against 117 participants from 23 different schools, Nguyen, an architectural studies and design student from Vietnam, tallied a score of 55 to take the win for the semester.

The Morrisville State College softball team swept Wells College in double header action Thursday afternoon in Aurora, topping the express 14-2 in game one (five innings) and edging a comeback attempt, 16-14, in game two. Morrisville State improves to 13-13 overall, 10-4 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action, while Wells dropped to 1-17 overall, 1-13 in NEAC play.

Morrisville State sophomore goalkeeper, Allison Strub (Clifton Springs, NY) recorded eight saves to secure the 8-3 conference victory over visiting Cazenovia College Thursday afternoon in Morrisville. Morrisville State improves to 6-6 overall in the win, 6-1 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) West action. Cazenovia drops to 7-6 overall, 5-2 in conference play.

They'll work in teams of two. Their task is to diagnose and repair vehicles that have been “bugged” on purpose. When it is all said and done, one team will drive away the winner of the FORD/AAA Motor Company Student Auto Skills Competition being held at Morrisville State College on May 12.

Morrisville State College liberal arts students were recently honored for their achievements during the 10th annual Liberal Arts Tea. The event is part of the college's annual celebration of academic excellence. The Liberal Arts Theater Participant-of-the-Year Award, given to a student who excels in theater productions on campus or assisting with productions, was presented to Corey Tighe, of Patchogue, N.Y., a wood products technology major.

Morrisville State improves to 9-2 overall, and remain undefeated in conference play at 5-0. Cazenovia drops to 4-8 overall, 2-3 in NEAC action.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office has announced its weekly award winners, naming Morrisville State College's Adam Lewis (Painted Post, NY) the Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 17. Lewis, senior attackman for the Mustangs, led the team to a 2-0 week, including a 1-0 record in conference action. He posted 15 goals on 20 shots, tallied two assists, and collected seven ground balls.

Catherine O'Donnell's participation in an upcoming equine show won't be about riding for a blue, red, or yellow ribbon top finish. Her sights are set instead on a pink loop of ribbon on her show coat and a colorful band on her wrist.

The Morrisville State College women's softball team boosted their conference record to 8-4, sweeping rival Cazenovia College in double-header action by 6-2 and 8-7 final scores Tuesday afternoon in Morrisville. Morrisville State has a 11-13 overall record, and continues to be a threat in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), currently ranking third overall in the North Division.

Morrisville State College will host a public meeting on the Facilities Master Plan on April 26, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., in the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC) Theatre. In February, consultants working on the plan met with members of the Morrisville State College community to gather public input and ideas regarding the role of the college in the community. This meeting will give consultants the opportunity to share the results of several months work on the plan.

Visiting Keuka College women's lacrosse posted 10 first half goals and added four more in the second, en route to a 14-4 conference victory over Morrisville State College Sunday afternoon in Morrisville. Morrisville State falls to 5-6 overall, 5-1 in conference action, while Keuka improves to 8-1, and remains undefeated in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) West play at 6-0.

The win pulls the Mustangs to 5-5 overall, as they remain undefeated in conference action with a 5-0 record. Wells College drops to 6-5 overall, and 4-1 in NAC action.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team used seven unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to escape Medaille College 19-18 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Saturday afternoon in Morrisville. Morrisville State improves to 8-2 overall, 4-0 in NEAC action, while Medaille drops to 3-8, 2-3 in conference play.
