Academic Advisor Appointed at Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—Nancy Heiss, of Norwich, has been appointed academic advisor at the Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College.
Prior to joining Morrisville State College, Heiss was assistant director of the Center for Academic Excellence at Hartwick College.

“Ms. Heiss brings a strong, professional record of student-centered academic advising and a deep appreciation for the mission of the Norwich Campus,” Ted Nichols, dean of the Norwich Campus, said. “We welcome her to our team and look forward to working with her.”

Heiss earned a master’s degree in social science from Binghamton University.

Morrisville State College offers 13 bachelor degrees and a wide variety of associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in business, computer technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, and a new standalone degree in early childhood to Chenango County area residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.

The Norwich Campus also offers a range of non-credit/community education courses, customized training, and conference services.
