Morrisville State College women's soccer drop the game to Wells College this afternoon 1-0. The team's record falls to 1-8 overall, 0-5 in NEAC play.
The Mustangs and Express fought through the first period without a goal scored and only 11 shots taken.
Rebecca Furman (Parkland, FL) scored unassisted late in the second half to win the game for the Express.

Gain tips on how to conserve energy and save money, and learn about renewable energy technology during two open houses at Morrisville State College's Renewable Energy Training Center (RETC).
Open houses will be held Oct. 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. and Nov. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the center located in Shannon Hall, room 104B.

Morrisville State College fell to Hamilton College 25-23, 25-19, and 25-20 tonight in Morrisville. The team's record is 3-12 overall.
Deanna Zbikowski (North Syracuse, NY) had 17 assists, one dig and one kill to lead the Mustangs as Nicole Wright (Dryden, NY) contributed a team high 12 kills and seven digs.

Morrisville State College's Renewable Energy Training Center (RETC) is hosting two workshops on solar photovoltaic systems.
Solar Photovoltaic Systems for Engineers and Architects will be held on Sept. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Topics include the basic design and specification of PV systems, choosing PV modules and inverters, the basics of series string sizing, dealing with wind and weight loading issues, mounting, cost considerations and practical implementation.

Julian “BJ” Lovett is back on the Morrisville State College Mustang football roster. This time, he's on the other side of the gridiron, trading his pads and jersey for a whistle.
The former Mustang NJCAA All-American wide receiver, who went on to a professional career as a player in the National Football League (NFL), has returned to his alma mater to coach the wide receivers.

The Morrisville College Equine Institute will hold its twenty-first annual Fall Yearling Sale Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. at the college's Nancy Sears Stowell Arena on Swamp Road.
More than 1,000 people from all over the Northeastern United States, Florida and Canada are expected to attend the sale, which is the largest of its kind in New York state. A total of 207 yearlings are up for sale.

When Liam DiCosimo and Tim Paige's hardcore rock and roll band broke up, they weren't ready to call it quits.
They kept playing and writing new songs, this time focusing on a pop-punk sound like what they listened to and loved when they were kids, only with an added rock edge.
The musical mix led to great things for DiCosimo, Paige and the listening world.

Morrisville State College's Renewable Energy Training Center (RETC) is offering two seminars on geothermal heat pump systems.
Fundamentals of Closed-loop Geothermal Heat Pump Systems will be held Sept. 22 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. This seminar covers the fundamentals of geothermal heat pump technology and will include discussions on water-to-air, water-to-water, and direct expansion heat pumps and ways to apply them in both forced air and hydronic systems.

The hours were long, but the payoff was worth every minute for six Morrisville State College equine students who traded their summer plans for experience in the western show arena.
The students participated in the college's western (stock seat) summer internship program to gain valuable skills toward their future careers in the industry.

Morrisville State College will have a vast presence at The Great New York State Fair which runs Aug. 26-Sept. 6.
New this year in the college's building, near Gate 4, is a micro hydro test station, an active display where visitors can learn how this renewable energy generates power from sources of moving water.

The Morrisville State College campus will be a flurry of activity as it welcomes a new class of freshman and transfer and returning students during Welcome Weekend Aug. 20-22. Classes begin Aug. 23 at the Morrisville and Norwich campuses.
Welcome Weekend is an opportunity for students to become familiar or reacquaint themselves with the campus and all it has to offer.

Earning a bachelor degree moved closer to home for Chenango County residents.
The Norwich campus of Morrisville State College is offering classes this semester that will lead to a bachelor of technology degree in criminal justice, and technology management. Plans are to expand offerings into other degree programs in the future.

Learn how to use the power of the sun to kiln-dry lumber during a 5-day workshop being held June 14-18, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Morrisville State College's Wood Technology Building.
During the workshop, Building a Solar Wood Drying Kiln, participants will construct a wood frame 700-board-foot capacity solar kiln using passive solar to heat the kiln and solar panels to power the air circulation system.

Morrisville State College's Renewable Energy Training Center (RETC) is hosting a two-day workshop on Small-Scale Biodiesel Production and Diesel Vehicle Veggie Conversion, June 11-12 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Morrisville State College RETC in Shannon Hall.
The workshop is an introduction to small-scale batch biodiesel production and diesel automobile modifications for all-season use of waste vegetable oil and biodiesel.

Marsha Cornelius has been named dean of the Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College.
Cornelius, of Norwich, N.Y., who has served as interim dean since Sept. 2009, joined the Norwich staff in 1997, holding various positions including academic counselor and coordinator of community services. She also worked at the Morrisville Campus in the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

The fraternal twins have shared everything from childhood farm chores, to bunk beds, secrets, college classes and a lifetime of ups and downs.
On May 15, they will share one of their greatest achievements together—graduating from Morrisville State College.
