Morrisville State women laxers defeat Medaille 11-8

Morrisville, N.Y.¬ – The Morrisville State College women’s lacrosse team defeated Medaille College Wednesday afternoon, 11-8 in Morrisville, NY.

Jamie Collins (Baldwinsville, NY) led Morrisville State with four goals and one assist, as Kayla Miller (Johnstown, NY) netted three goals and three assists. Trisha Kaufmann (East Aurora, NY) added two goals for the Mustangs on the afternoon.

Michelle Heath (Whitney Point, NY) tallied 15 saves in net, recording the win for the Mustangs as Morrisville State improves to 3-8 on the season.

Morrisville State led 7-5 at halftime.

Medaille College was led by Kim Coleman (Syracuse, NY) with three goals, as Melyssa Tollar (West Seneca, NY) and Kelley Meyer (Lancaster, NY) each added two goals for Mavericks in the loss.

Morrisville State returns to the field on Thursday at Fredonia State. Game time is scheduled for 4 pm on the Fredonia campus.

Morrisville State College offers more than 70 bachelor and associate degrees.
