William A. Cesare Jr.

William A. Cesare Jr. is an Associate Professor of Applied Psychology at SUNY Morrisville and teaches the following classes: Psychology 101 Introduction to Psychology; Psychology 103 Applied Psychology; Psychology 211 Lifespan Development; Psychology 241 Child Development; Psychology 291 Human Diversity; Psychology 325 Motivation and Behavior; Psychology 405 Internship Preparation; Psychology 406 Applied Psychology Internship; Psychology 461 Psychological Testing; Human Services 101 Introduction to Human Services; and Human Services 201 Counseling and Case Management. Professor Cesare is also the Internship Coordinator for the Applied Psychology Internship Program, both preparing students for their internships and supervising them in the field.   

Professor Cesare worked as a Chemical Dependency Therapist (CASAC) and Alcoholism Clinic Director and has many years of experience in the addictions field.  Before coming to Morrisville, he spent the last 17 years employed as the Executive Director of a mental health agency that provided a wide range of child and adult services. Dr. Cesare earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Syracuse University, his master’s degree in counseling from the State University of New York at Oswego and his Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.  Professor Cesare’s interests include Evolutionary Psychology, Human Services Management and Counseling Psychology.
