EOP Student Expectations
The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is designed to support first-time college students whose previous educational experiences may not fully reflect their academic potential, but who can thrive in higher education with the right guidance and resources. At SUNY Morrisville, the EOP office empowers students to take an active role in their academic journey and make the most of the services available to them. Academic success is measured through effort, progress, and outcomes that lead to continued enrollment and eventual graduation. As such, EOP students at SUNY Morrisville are expected to:
- Maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA
- Demonstrate maximum effort in the completion of all assigned academic work;
- Regularly attend all scheduled classes;
- Regularly attend scheduled “All EOP” meetings;
- Attend all scheduled EOP counselor advisor meetings;
- Schedule visits to instructors, tutors, and professors during scheduled office hours
- Log at least 30 hours of tutoring services, study hours per semester
