Why SUNY Morrisville Information Technology?

Our B.Tech. degree program builds on the foundation of computer information systems while also providing a broader scope. With an emphasis on hands-on learning, you will gain a deep understanding of how to use technology to facilitate business processes, as well as the technical skills necessary to develop and implement inventive approaches to overcoming complex business obstacles. You also can earn a minor in game programming or cybersecurity.

A key strength of the program is its focus on the practical application of technology. In addition to learning how technology works, you will learn how to use it effectively in real-world settings. You will develop strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as a deep understanding of the people and processes behind the technology.

Our hands-on learning approach culminates in a semester-long, 12-credit professional internship, where you work nearly 500 hours in an industry setting to gain the professional experience necessary to launch your career. Many of our graduates have secured full-time positions with the organizations sponsoring their internships.
