Human Services Certificate

Student helping someone

Help others help themselves.

Through the SUNY Morrisville human services certificate, you will be educated and trained to provide professional support to vulnerable individuals and help them achieve the best quality of life possible.

The program will help enhance your knowledge, understanding and skill levels required to provide high-quality services to dependent individuals, including children, youth, and adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.

Through 21 credit hours, you will study courses such as abnormal psychology, counseling and case management, helping processes and crisis intervention, and administration and management of human services.

Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll be ready to serve as a human service professional who provides direct support services, personal care assistance and case management services for local or regional nonprofit agencies.

If you wish to further your education, you can seamlessly transfer into the SUNY Morrisville Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree program in human services

The certificate also provides current professionals with an opportunity to receive continuing education credits.
