Fall 2025 New Student Orientation & Welcome Week

Thursday, Aug. 21 - Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025

Participation in new student orientation is mandatory for all new students.

New residential student move-in: Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

New Student Check-in: What to Expect

Upon arrival to campus, vehicles will enter campus onto Madison St. from Eaton St: and will be directed to the Welcome Tent located in the :

  • Students who are clear to move in will drive to the bus circle of Lot D, briefly exit their vehicles and go to the check-in tent to receive their photo ID and their welcome packet, and then will be directed to move into their residence hall.
  • Students with unsatisfied financial aid, billing, and/or housing requirements will be directed to park in Lot D and go into the Student Activities Building (STUAC) to complete those items. Once all items have been completed, students will go to the check-in tent to get their welcome packet and a green pass, and then will be directed to move into their residence hall.

All students will need their photo ID card, weekend schedule, and a clearance card to proceed to their residence hall. New Student Orientation activities begin at 2:30 p.m. with Mustang Mentor Meetups on Thursday, Aug. 21. Mandatory programming begins at 4:00pm.

Required Items to Complete for Move-In

New students must complete ALL the below required check-list items to move into their residence hall.

  • Submit your official, final transcript(s) to the Admissions Office: high school, college, and/or AP/IB score report.
  • Complete all on-campus housing requirements and receive your housing assignment.
  • Confirm your enrollment through Web for Students.
    • Log into Web for Students -> go to Student Information & Financial Aid -> click on Student Account -> press Confirm Enrollment -> follow the prompts.
  • Satisfy your Fall 2025 semester bill: complete all financial aid requirements (if applicable), enroll in a payment plan, or make payment in full. Refer to your Web for Students account.
  • Submit a photo for your ID card by Tuesday, Aug. 19 to receive your photo ID card upon arrival:
    • Download the Transact eAccounts app on your mobile device or CLICK HERE to complete in your web browser.
    • Sign in with your SUNY Morrisville email credentials (username and password) and set up your account.
    • Click on the wheel icon in the upper right corner.
    • Select "Submit ID Photo" and follow the instructions.

Suggested Items to Complete for Move-In

  • Send in required medical forms and documentation to the Student Health Center.
    • Students have 30 days from the start of classes to submit the required documentation.
  • If you're bringing a car to campus, purchase a parking permit through Web for Students. For additional information on parking and traffic policies, including a campus parking map, please visit Parking Services.
    • Parking tags may be picked up at the University Police office in Brooks Hall. You must have vehicle registration and photo ID on you to pick up your parking permit.
  • Order textbooks and course materials online prior to the start of class. Textbooks can be shipped home or to the SUNY Morrisville Campus Store, but are not available for purchase at the on-campus store.

Students will be sent their New Student Orientation & Welcome Weekend details (schedule and Mustang Mentor) via email on Wednesday, Aug. 20th and will be given a hardcopy at check-in on Thursday, Aug. 21.

Please note: students will be assigned a specific color schedule to follow and a Mustang Mentor. Students MUST check in at the Welcome Tent in the bus circle/Admin Quad.

Transportation from NYC to Campus

Megabus will have buses traveling to the SUNY Morrisville Campus from NYC Port Authority. Tickets are available for purchase online at megabus.com. Seating is limited.

Incoming students in need of transportation from Syracuse or Utica to campus should send an email to max@morrisville.edu with their ticket information at least 7 days in advance. Transportation in this scenario is not guaranteed.

Students must order textbooks and course materials online prior to the start of class. Textbooks can be shipped home or to the SUNY Morrisville Campus Store. Textbooks are not available for purchase at the Campus Store.

Textbooks can be ordered through Web for Students -> Student Detail Schedule -> Buy Your Books, or through morrisville.ecampus.com. Please note that some courses are part of our Inclusive Access Program. Any textbooks that are part of the Program will have a message indicating such. Inclusive Access material fees are automatically added to your student bill, labeled as a code BKEL with the course number and section.

Additional Course Materials can be purchased at the Campus Store or online at bookstore.morrisville.edu.

Parking Permits

Students planning to have a car on campus can purchase their parking permit prior to arriving on campus through their Web for Students account. Parking passes may be picked up at the University Police office in Brooks Hall. Please note: You must have vehicle registration and photo ID on you to pick up your parking permit.
