We have several upcoming training opportunities for prospective students, teachers/educators, and others looking to explore career options in Offshore Wind and Renewable Energy, including college credit-bearing courses.

Offshore Wind and Beyond: Spring 2025 Training Courses (Credit)

OWTI grant-funded scholarships are available. Priority registration will be given for underrepresented populations, with reduced tuition for OWTI participants!

Spring courses (January 27-May 16, online and in-person options)

RENG 102 - Renewable Energy Resources (HyFlex: in-person/online MWF 2-3pm; to register, use section: HF1, CRN: 17566) – a renewable energy fundamentals course and wind technician course.

RENG 150 – Analysis Techniques for Renewable Energy (HyFlex: in-person/online T/Th 8-9:15am; to register, use section HF1, CRN: 17531) – a renewable energy fundamentals course and wind technician course.

RENG 221 - Introduction to Wind Systems (in-person lecture M/W 11-noon, CRN: 15909; Labs: Th 2-4pm CRN 15910 or Th 4-6pm CRN 17509; to register, use CRNs listed) – a wind technician course.

RENG 225 - Tower Climbing and Rescue (in-person Monday 2-5pm; to register, use CRN 15686) – a wind technician course.

Early Summer courses (May 13-June 21, 2025 (6-week term), online and in-person options)

Other Opportunities for You

Individuals seeking continuing education in renewable energy can enroll in one of our RENG college courses by using the registration form from the Center for Lifelong Learning, or enrolling in one of the RE degree programs. Future opportunities for training and certification will continue to be added.
