Lewis named NEAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced the regular season award winners in men's lacrosse, naming Morrisville State College's Adam Lewis (Painted Post, NY) the 2011 NEAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year.



Lewis, senior attackman for the Mustangs, tallied 40 goals (on 62 shots) and 13 assists for 53 points in 13 games this season, recording three game winners, and netting a collegiate best eight goals and two assists in the regular season win over Medaille. He added 17 ground balls to his tallies throughout the season, while causing three turnovers.



Lewis also garnered NEAC All-Conference first team honors at attack.



The graduate of Corning Painted Post-West is majoring in technology management: resort and recreation service management at Morrisville State. He is the son of Byron Lewis of Painted Post.



Morrisville State captured the regular season conference title for the second straight year with an undefeated 6-0 record. The top seeded Mustangs defeated Medaille in the conference tournament semi-final and face second seed Keuka Saturday at 3 p.m. for the tournament championship title on Drake Field in Morrisville.
