Mustang Radio

In the late 1960’s the college radio station hit the airwaves. It was located in the basement of Galbreath Hall. Today, Mustang Radio is located in the basement of Hamilton Hall and not only broadcasts on 1580 AM. It is a student run radio station as well as a curriculum based production lab for students in the Journalism program. The station operates 24/7 using an automated computer software. Students have weekly, on-air DJ shifts where they can play the music they love to listen to. Also, they have the opportunity to broadcast college sporting events such as Empire Eight, Division III football games as well as NEAC Men’s and Women’s Division III basketball, hockey, soccer and lacrosse tournaments.

Mustang Radio is an exciting place for those students interested in pursuing a career in the broadcast field to gain valuable hands-on experience in the day-to-day operation of a college run radio station.
