We connect SUNY Morrisville students with the resources, people, and experiences that help them grow, push through setbacks, and find their place on campus.

Opportunity - We open doors. CORE connects you to the resources, programs, and hands-on experiences that help you make the most of your time at Morrisville, from academic support to leadership.
Resilience - Everyone hits obstacles. We help you build the skills, habits, and support network to work through challenges, bounce back from setbacks, and keep moving toward your goals.

CORE brings SUNY Morrisville's student success programs together under one roof, so you can find the right support from your first day to graduation.
Opportunity programs
- Educational Opportunity Program (EOP): Access, academic support, and financial aid for students who show promise for college success but may not have otherwise been offered admission. EOP students begin with an intensive Summer Academy.
- Collegiate Science & Technology Entry Program (CSTEP): A scholars program for students pursuing careers and licensure in math, science, technology, and health fields, with support for internships, research, and conferences.
- Mustang Achievement Program (MAP): Extra academic and personal support for new students, including a peer mentor, a professional success coach, and first-semester courses built for success.
- ASAP|ACE: Advancing Success in Associate Pathways and Advancing Completion through Engagement help students finish their degrees on time with dedicated advising and wraparound support.
- SUNY Reconnect: Free associate degrees in high-demand fields for eligible New York adults ages 25 to 55, with support from CORE to help you return and succeed.
Getting started
- Summer Schedule Creation & Onboarding: Before your first semester, meet one-on-one with CORE to build your fall schedule, review your program requirements, and get set up with the campus systems you'll use every day. All new students should complete an onboarding appointment before the semester begins.
- Jumpstart: An early move-in program for accepted MAP, CSTEP, and FirstGen students. Get comfortable with campus technology, meet your community, and start the semester with confidence.
- First-Year Experience (FYE) & Orientation: Everything new students need to settle in, from orientation programming to first-year support that helps you find your place at Morrisville.
- New Student Advising: Meet with an advisor to plan your schedule, understand your program requirements, and start your degree on the right track. All new students should schedule an onboarding appointment before the semester begins.
Staying on track
- Academic Rebuild Program: Personalized support for students on academic probation. Work with a success coach on an individual Academic Success Plan to return to good academic standing.
- Student Success Support: We use Starfish to spot challenges early and reach out before small problems become big ones. Throughout the semester, faculty share feedback through progress surveys and flags, and our semester surveys help us check in on how you're doing. When something comes up, CORE follows up with one-on-one support and connects you with the right people and resources to keep moving forward.
