SUNY Morrisville is committed to complying with New York's Freedom of Information Law that provides open access to public records.

How long will it take to receive the records I seek?

Within five business days of receipt of your e-mail or letter, the college will respond to your request for records with a written acknowledgement of the receipt of such request and a statement of the approximate date, which shall be reasonable under the circumstances of the request, when such request will be granted or denied.

How much does the college charge for copies?

The charge for copies that are 8.5" x 11" or 9"x14" is 25 cents per page. For all other records, the cost is the actual cost of reproducing the record.

If the records access officer denies my request, how can I appeal the decision?

Under the law, you have the right to appeal when a request for records is denied. Should you choose to appeal, you may make your appeal in writing within 30 days to:
