SUNY Morrisville was the first college to comprehensively replace land-line phones in residence halls with a cell phone for each residential student.
In the fall of 2007, SUNY Morrisville deployed a new campuswide wireless network based upon the 802.11n (draft 2.0) wireless specification. SUNY Morrisville is the first college in the world to utilize this technology enterprise-wide.
Morrisville's wireless network is the fastest of its kind in the world.

Technology Services uses a ticketing system to assist with our incoming calls and emails from customers who need help, as well as managing our ongoing projects. This gives our department the opportunity to organize workloads better, as well as better identify more problematic areas and priorities.
