Dr. Peter Kamala is an Assistant Professor of Project Management at SUNY Morrisville and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) with more than 27 years of experience across industry, higher education, and academic leadership. He holds a PhD in Commerce and has held senior academic leadership roles, including academic director and head of department, leading projects involving strategic initiatives, program implementation, organizational improvement, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
Having worked in South Africa, Canada, and the United States, Dr. Kamala brings an international and practice-oriented perspective to project management education. His expertise includes project leadership, project accounting, business analysis, project analytics, operations and supply chain management, quality and risk management, and managerial accounting. His teaching connects academic knowledge with real-world practice, preparing students to lead complex projects, make evidence-based decisions, manage project resources and financial performance, and deliver results across industries and organizational environments.
