Penn State Abington's Alix Edwards broke free of the defense on a fast break in the overtime period and fired the game winner into the net to claim the 2-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over Morrisville State College men's soccer Sunday afternoon.

Sebastian Hernandez gave Abington the goal advantage midway through the first half, placing a free kick into the left upper corner post that deflected into the net in the 26th minute.

It wasn't until the 57th minute that Morrisville State recorded the equalizer, as Tom Huber (West Islip, NY) gave Erik Whitcombe (Ogdensburg, NY) a thru ball on the left side of the field who turned and fired the ball into the right of the net.

Morrisville State keeper, Shane Sullivan (Sherrill, NY) withstood the Abington attack on net in the final stretch, but wasn't able to secure the win for the Mustangs as Edwards put away the game winner 2:17 into the sudden victory period.

Sullivan tallied six saves in net as Morrisville State drops to 6-5-1 overall, 2-2-1 in NEAC play.

Morrisville State returns to the field Saturday at Gallaudet.
