Angerer, Peckham named Mustang Athletes of the Week

The Morrisville State College athletics department has named senior Sarah Angerer (Cooperstown, N.Y.) and freshman Daniel Peckham (Webster, N.Y.) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending September 9.

Angerer, forward for the field hockey team, tallied two goals, including the game winner, in the 3-1 victory over Wells College to give the Mustangs their first win of the season. She currently leads the team in goals scored.

The graduate of Cooperstown High is majoring in technology management: resort and recreation management at Morrisville State. Angerer is the daughter of Nancy and Richard Angerer of Cooperstown.

Peckham, defender for the men’s soccer team, assisted Morrisville State in an 0-1-1 week, combining for two goals and one assist in two games on the week.

Midway through the week, Peckham notched the lone goal in the Mustangs loss to RIT and followed with a goal on a penalty kick and an assist in the 3-3 overtime draw with Lancaster on Friday.

The graduate of Webster Schroeder High is majoring in automotive technology at Morrisville State. He is the son of Sally Amos and Scott Peckham of Webster.
