Bordonaro, Pellegrino garner post-season SUNYAC honors

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) recently announced its 2010 Field Hockey All-Conference selections, naming Morrisville State College senior forward, Lauren Bordonaro (North Tonawanda, NY) and sophomore goalkeeper, Kelsey Pellegrino (Cicero, NY) to its first and second team, respectively.



Bordonaro repeats first team honors for the second time in her career after leading the Mustangs in scoring this season, netting 12 goals and nine assists for 33 team points. Bordonaro posted a game high three goals against Houghton, and earlier in the season, posted two game winning scores.



Upon completion of the season, she ranked third in points scored, goals recorded and assists tallied in the conference ranks.



The graduate of Starpoint High School is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State College. She is the daughter of Donna and Rich Littlefield, and Charles Bordonaro of North Tonawanda.



Pellegrino earned second team honors following her performance in goal this season. In 18 games, she posted a 2.06 goals against average, making 137 saves (.784 save percentage) in net for an 8-9-0 overall record, including two shut out victories.



She ranks first in saves (7.21 per game) in the SUNYAC and received ECAC Defensive Player of the Week honors October 11.



The graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse is majoring in health related studies at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Julie and Russ Pellegrino of Cicero.
