Cazenovia claims 62-51 victory over Morrisville State women

Visiting Cazenovia College women's basketball claimed a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory Wednesday night, topping host Morrisville State College 62-51 in Morrisville.



Cazenovia held a 28-22 lead at the break before shooting 51.9 percent from the floor in the second half en route to the win.



Three netted double figures for the Wildcats, led by Megan McDermott (Greene, NY) with 13 with teammates Alyssa Lubeck (Rome, NY) and Melissa Rivera (Slate Hill, NY) adding 11 and 10, respectively. Samantha Allen (Sackets Harbor, NY) added nine points, dished out seven assists, and added four steals to the Cazenovia tallies.



Morrisville State's Nijah Townsend (Bronx, NY) and Nijee Scott (Bronx, NY) each tallied 17 in the loss for the Mustangs. Jenna March (Munnsville, NY) controlled the boards with 13, while Dyshea Smiley (Harlem, NY) dished out eight assists.



Morrisville State (2-9, 2-7 NEAC) returns to the court Saturday at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC.
