Cazenovia College women net 2-0 win over Morrisville State

Megan McDermott (Greene, N.Y.) scored twice to lead Cazenovia College women's soccer over Morrisville State Tuesday evening in Morrisville, N.Y. The Mustangs fell to 0-2 in NEAC play and 1-3 overall, while the Wildcats improved to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the NEAC.



McDermott tallied her first goal of the evening just under 11 minutes into the first half on a direct kick awarded to the Wildcats after a Morrisville handball.



The Mustangs continued to fight, creating several scoring chances, but were unable to capitalize on them.



With less than five minutes left in the game McDermott tallied her second goal off a miscue by Mustangs goaltender Erin Bergold (Equinunk, P.A.).



Cazenovia's Nalia Bouley (Endicott, N.Y.) recorded the win for the Wildcats, playing all 90 minutes and tallying 6 saves.



Jennifer Zidzik (Yarley, P.A.) recorded the loss for the Mustangs, playing 81 minutes and tallying 7 saves. Bergold played the remaining nine minutes and collected one save.



Cazenovia College next faces SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday, September 13 at 3 p.m., while Morrisville State next travels to SUNY IT on Saturday for a 3 p.m. start time.
