Junior Sara Woodward (Ancram/Pine Plains) scored three goals as Cortland shut out visiting Morrisville State, 7-0. The Red Dragons finish the SUNYAC regular season with a 6-0 record and are 10-3 overall after their ninth straight win.

Cortland's 14th-year head coach Cynthia Wetmore became the school's victory leader with the win. Her career record is 218-51, surpassing the 217 victories amassed by Pat Rudy from 1981-95.

The Red Dragons opened the scoring with a goal by junior Katie Barbagallo (North Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse) 8:34 into the game on a shot from the left side that slipped through the goalie's pads. Woodward scored Cortland's next three goals and leads the team with 10 goals this season. She scored off a pass from freshman Stepahnie Sorrentino (Shoreham/Shoreham-Wading River) – Sorrentino's first collegiate point – in the 13th minute on a reverse-stick shot from straight on. She added an unassisted goal in the 26th minute to give Cortland a 3-0 halftime lead, then connected again just 49 seconds into the second half.

Freshman Rebekah Bernard (Manalapan, NJ/Freehold Township) scored her first collegiate goal 14:32 into the second half, from eight yards out off a feed from sophomore Karly Vdoviak (Johnstown). Sophomore Mallory Guerin (Port Jefferson) notched her first goal of the season in the 56th minute when she redirected a ball hit by Holly Flanigan (Amherst/Williamsville North) high into the cage. Sophomore Erin Smith (Greene) concluded the scoring with 6:26 left when she intercepted a pass, dribbled in to the circle and blasted home a shot.

Cortland outshot the Mustangs (1-12, 0-5 SUNYAC) by a 30-3 margin. Three Red Dragon goalies were forced to make only one save total in the shutout. Junior Emily von Schondorf (Webster/Webster Thomas) stopped one shot in 39:11. Freshman Rachel Moccaldi (Clinton) played the next 16:05 and freshman Amanda Perricone (Bedminster, PA/Pennridge) played the final 14:44.

Morrisville freshman goalie Laura Blumenfield (Rockland/Clarkstown South) finished with 10 saves and junior Jamie Anderson (Harpursville) recorded a defensive save.
