Dyer named Offensive Line Coach at Morrisville State

Morrisville State College head football coach Curt Fitzpatrick announced the addition of Tom Dyer to the Mustang coaching staff, overseeing the  offensive line in the fall 2013.

The native of Rochester, N.Y. (Greece Olympia HS) comes to Morrisville State from Utica College where he was a four-year member and two-year starter on the offensive line. During his time with the Pioneers, he was instrumental in helping to protect for the top offensively Empire 8 ranked program that averaged 34.2 points per contest this past season.

In the spring, Dyer served as a student assistant with the Pioneers, working with the offensive linemen while assisting in running the scout team offense.

A 2012 Empire 8 All-Conference first team selection, Dyer was a participant in the 2013 Martin Luther King Dream Senior Bowl in Salem, Virginia.

For the past three years Dyer has served as a volunteer coach with the TNT Linemen Camps in Utica and Rochester, working to improve players on both the offensive and defensive lines.

Dyer earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Utica in May. He is working on obtaining his New York State Public School Teacher Certification this summer.
