Gallaudet men edge Morrisville State for NEAC win

Visiting Gallaudet University men's basketball posted a 85-77 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over host Morrisville State College Sunday afternoon in Morrisville.



Morrisville State pulled to within four with less than a minute remaining in the contest, but Gallaudet remained perfect on the day from the charity stripe, hitting six of a game total 22 in the closing seconds to secure the win.



Layton Seeber (Champaign, Ill) led all scorers with 23 on the day, hitting three from behind the arc and a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line, adding five assists to his tallies in the win for Gallaudet. Danny Kelly (Strongsville, Ohio) came off the bench to add 19 to the Bison scoring, pulling down eight rebounds, while teammates Brandon McFrederick, MD) and Tony Tatum (Gardendale, AL) contributed 17 and 14 respectively.



Wayne Turner (Brooklyn, NY) led the Mustang efforts with 16 points off the bench, dishing out six assists and pulling down five boards, while teammate Kucjok Ater (Syracuse, NY) added 14, assisting four. Bryan Eddy (White Plains, NY) tallied 13 in the loss, recording a team high nine boards, and Kyle Gordon (Riverhead, NY) added 12, all from behind the arc.



Gallaudet led 35-34 at the half.



Morrisville State drops to 6-11 overall, 5-7 in NEAC play, and return to the court Tuesday at SUNY Canton.
