Harrisburg men roll to 4-0 victory over Morrisville State

Visiting Penn State Harrisburg Nittany Lions cruised to a 4-0 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over host Morrisville State College men's soccer Saturday afternoon in Morrisville.



Harrisburg improves to 8-2 overall, and remains in second place in the conference with a 5-1 record, while the Mustangs drop to 2-7-3 overall, 2-3-2 in conference play.



Brendan Garner (Harrisburg, PA) put the Nittany Lions on the board just seven minutes in, heading the cross from Ian Lake (Mechanicsburg, PA) past Morrisville State keeper Shane Sullivan (Sherrill, NY) for the score.



Nearly 10 minutes later, James Bowers (Harrisburg, PA) extended the lead to two, collecting a rebound off Sullivan for the second Harrisburg tally.



Andrew Mettel and Nana Nyanteki (Howell, NJ) each recorded an unassisted score in the second half in the win.



Josh Wolff (Christiana, PA) recorded the win in net for the Nittany Lions, saving eight in 69 minutes of play, while teammate Charles Hyson (Bel Air, MD) tallied two saves in the final 21 minutes.



Sullivan recorded the loss for the Mustangs, making 10 stops.



Morrisville State returns to the field tomorrow, hosting conference foe Gallaudet University at noon on Drake Field for the “Mustangs Against Cancer” campaign, while Harrisburg is on the road at Cazenovia for a noon start.
