The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its 2012-13 Ice Hockey All-Conference selections, as voted by the coaches, and has named Morrisville State junior defenseman James Jarvis (Pickering, Ontario) to its second team.

Jarvis completed the season with 15 points in 25 games, having registered five goals and 10 assists, and ranked seventh overall in the conference in defenseman scoring on the year. Two of his tallies were power play scores, as he ranked fourth on the team in points recorded for the Mustangs.

In 74 games throughout his career, Jarvis has posted 11 goals and assisted another 34 for 45 points, while earning SUNYAC Rookie of the Week honors as a freshman, and All-Academic Team and Commissioner’s List accolades for excellence in the classroom each spring.

He was an honorable mention all-conference selection at defense as a freshman.

The graduate of Pine Ridge Secondary School played two seasons at defense for the Junior A Whitby Fury before becoming a Mustang.

Majoring in architectural studies and design at Morrisville State, Jarvis is the son of Sabine and Ian Jarvis of Pickering, Ontario.
