Keuka women net 65-52 conference win over Morrisville State

Visiting Keuka College women's basketball netted a 65-52 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over host Morrisville State College Wednesday night in Morrisville to remain undefeated at 5-0, 4-0 in conference action.



Morrisville State drops to 0-4 overall (0-2 NEAC).



Morrisville State shot a mere 28 percent from the floor in the first half as Keuka took a 28-20 lead at the break, hitting 10-of-24 (41.7%) from the floor. Nijah Townsend (Bronx, NY) kept the Mustangs in the game in the first half, tallying 11 points while grabbing eight boards.



Keuka opened the second half with an eight point run in a minute's time to take a 14 point lead just 3:30 in, and didn't look back claiming the 13 point victory.



Townsend led all scorers with 22 points, adding 10 rebounds for the double-double performance. Nijee Scott (Bronx, NY) added 13 points and five rebounds with five assists, while Simoine Rogers (Bronx, NY) contributed 11 points and nine boards.



Three were in double figures for the Storm led by Danielle Gravel (Sidney, NY) with 13 points. Jessica Fink (New Oxford, PA) and Jessica Bandrowski (Center Moriches, NY) each contributed 10.



Morrisville State returns to the court Saturday at the College of St. Elizabeth.
