Keyser, Brobbey named Mustang Athletes of the Week

The Morrisville State College athletic department has recently named sophomore Sarah Keyser (Honeoye, NY) and senior Andrew Brobbey (Bronx, NY) its Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 17.



Keyser, outside hitter for the women's volleyball team, was instrumental to the Mustangs North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) pool play over the weekend as Morrisville State compiled a 2-6 conference record.



In five games last week, Keyser tallied 43 total kills, and defensively led the Mustangs with 16.5 blocks (14 solo). She posted a career best 7.5 blocks against Cobleskill and a team high 17 kills against Cazenovia on the weekend.



The graduate of Honeoye High is majoring in equine science at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Holley and James Keyser of Honeoye.



Brobbey, forward for the men's soccer team, posted his first collegiate hat trick in the 4-0 win over NEAC opponent Gallaudet on Saturday.



Moving from the defensive end of the field to the forward line this season, Brobbey leads the Mustangs in scoring, netting 23 team points on 11 goals and an assist.



The graduate of Evander Childs High is majoring in accounting at Morrisville State. He is the son of Comfort Effah of the Bronx.
