Men's soccer battles to 1-1 tie against visiting Hilbert College

The Morrisville State College men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie against visiting Hilbert College this afternoon.



The Mustangs were first to score when Jeffrey Sekyere (Bronx, N.Y.) placed a deflection from David Cerasani (Beaver Meadow, N.Y.) past Hawks goalkeeper Kamil Cislak (Lancaster, N.Y.) with just under 10 minutes left to play in the first half.



Morrisville State held the lead until just over 35 minutes into the second half when Ed Sarcione (Eden, N.Y.) put the Hawks on the board with an unassisted goal.



Despite chances on both ends of the field, the contest ended in a well fought 1-1 tie.



Shane Sullivan (Sherrill, N.Y.) records the tie for the Mustangs, playing all 110 minutes and tallying 6 saves.



Cislak also played the full 110 minute contest, recording the tie and tallying 10 saves.



Morrisville State's record is now 0-4-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the NEAC.



The Mustangs are back in action at home on Thursday against SUNY Cobleskill at 4 p.m.
