Men's soccer blanked by SUNY Canton 5-0

The Morrisville State men's soccer team lost to SUNY Canton Thursday night 5-0.



The Mustangs fall to 1-5-3 overall and remain at 1-1-2 in conference play.



The game remained scoreless through the first 30 minutes of play until Canton's Shane Powell scored the Roos first goal of the match at 30:18 minutes off of an assist from Austin Johnston. Just over a minute later Canton scored again when Kevaughn John scored his first goal of two goals off of a corner kick from Eric Lopez. John added his second goal at 43:37 with the assist going to Ashley Butterworth.



Canton added two more goals in the second half. Their fourth goal came at 69:59 from Leroy White, who was assisted by Eric Lopez. Abdulai Jagana tallied the final goal for the Roos, unassisted, at 73:18.



Shane Sullivan records the loss for Morrisville State, tallying six saves, playing 75:17 minutes. Trevor Goldstein finished the game for the Mustangs, tallying one save and playing 14:43 minutes.



Sankung Sillah records the win for Canton, tallying 2 saves, playing 75:28 minutes. Finishing the game for the Roos was Antonio James.



The Mustangs next travel to Penn State Abington and Penn State Berks for a conference double header this Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9.
