Morrisville State blanked by Geneseo field hockey, 5-0

Katie Farley scored two goals and assisted two others to lead the SUNY Geneseo Knights to the 5-0 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory over visiting Morrisville State College Friday afternoon in Geneseo.



Morrisville State drops to 0-5 overall, 0-2 in conference action.



Paige Jerrett (Parrish, NY) recorded the loss in net, posting three saves in the first half, and allowing three goals.



Laura Blumenfeld (Rockland, NY) played the final 35 for the Mustangs, recording four saves on six shots on goal.



Caitlyn Dowell recorded the win in net for Geneseo.



Geneseo claimed an early lead over Morrisville State, scoring twice in the first three minutes of the contest, adding a third first half score in the 23rd minute of play. The Knights finished the game with a 16-0 advantage in shots and 18-3 advantage in penalty corners.



Morrisville State returns to the field tomorrow, hosting conference foe Brockport at 1 p.m. on Drake Field on the Morrisville campus.
