Morrisville State College to host Mohawk Regional Dietetic Association spring meeting

MORRISVILLE, NY—Morrisville State College will host the Mohawk Regional Dietetic Association spring meeting on April 15 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The meeting, titled “Rural Nutrition: Challenges and Strategies,” will include a keynote address by Rachel Kramer and Karen Romano of HealtheConnections, along with presentations from several area nutrition and healthcare experts. There will also be a panel discussion.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour several of Morrisville State College’s state-of-the-art facilities, including Nelson Farms, the dairy complex and dairy incubator, to see how MSC’s students are experiencing hands-on learning in the world of nutrition.

Registration is required and seating is limited. The cost is $85 for nonmembers, $75 for members and $20 for students.

Participants who complete the course will earn six CEU credits.

The event is sponsored by the MSC Dietetic Technician Program, The Sheila Johnson Institute, MSC and the Morrisville College Foundation.
