Four have been selected to lead the Morrisville State football squad, as seniors Jack Glen (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Tim Hammond (Hudson Falls, N.Y.) along with juniors Jeremy Stewart (Moravia, N.Y.) and Nate Ryan (Staten Island, N.Y.) have been named captains for the 2012 season.

It’s no surprise that they have been elected to fill the important role by their peers, as according to head coach Terry Dow, they are very familiar with the football program expectations and carry a sense of leadership that will keep the Mustangs focused throughout the 2012 season.

“The young men serving in the captain roll not only carry a wealth of playing experience, but also know what we expect of student-athletes off the field as well,” Dow said. “They have handled the task of bringing the newcomers along very well this preseason.”

Morrisville State opens the 2012 campaign at noon on Saturday, Sept. 1 against Wilkes University on the Morrisville State campus.
