Morrisville State men 4th at CCOC Championships

Junior Austin Townsley (Horseheads, NY) completed the 8K race in 28:12.97 to lead the Morrisville State College men's cross country team to an overall 4th place team finish at the CCOC Championships held at Saranac Lake State Park Saturday afternoon in Geneva.



Clarkson won the invitational with 32 team points, followed by Hartwick with 64. SUNY IT edged Morrisville State for third with 110 points, as the Mustangs tallied 115 for fourth place.



Townsley finished 8th overall out of 141 runners and was followed closely by teammate Greg Johnsmeyer (West Hurley, NY) in 14th position with a time of 29:03.74.



Dakota Nelson (Smyrna, NY) crossed the line in 28th position, with a time of 29:56.83, followed by Ben Sargrad (Manlius, NY) seconds later (30:03.23) in 30th place.



Malcolm Legloahec (Brunswick, ME) rounded out Mustang scoring with a time of 31:58.66, crossing the finish line in 60th position.



Morrisville State returns to the courses next Saturday, on the road at the RPI Invitational.
