Morrisville State men draw Middlebury for NCAA first round

Morrisville State College will be making their first ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship Tournament, and as announced in the selection show held at noon today, will face Middlebury College in the first round of the Regional Bracket.



Morrisville State (19-8) earned the automatic qualifier to the NCAA's after defeating Penn State Harrisburg on Sunday for the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Title.



Middlebury, host of the Regional, enters the contest with a 24-3 overall record and is currently ranked fourth nationally in the d3hoops.com poll. The Panthers are making their fifth straight appearance in the tournament, posting a program best 28-2 record in 2011 with a trip to the Final Four.



Morrisville State and Middlebury meet Friday at 8 p.m. in Pepin Gym on the Middlebury campus. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
