Morrisville State men's soccer struggles, falling 4-0 to R.I.T.

R.I.T. senior forward Dan Holowaty (Strongsville, OH/St. Ignatius) scored a career high three goals as the RIT men's soccer team defeated Morrisville State 4-0 in non-conference action at RIT Field. The loss puts the Mustangs at 0-2 on the season.



Holowaty gave RIT a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute on a header off an assist from Danny Bloshkin (Liverpool, N.Y.).



Senior midfielder David Vogt (Rochester, NY/McQuaid) gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead scoring off a set piece in the 47th minute off an assist from Kyle Grimaldi (Gloucester, MA/Gloucester).



Holowaty tallied his second of the game in the 50th minute off another assist from Bloshkin. He completed the hat-trick in the 68th minute off a nice individual effort.



RIT out shot the Mustangs 21-3 and had seven corner kicks to none for Morrisville.



Sean Conway (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) picked up his second win of the season for R.I.T. and second shut-out of the year. Ben Frazier (Westminster, MD/Westminster) played the final 20 minutes allowing no goals.



Shane Sullivan (Sherrill, N.Y.) recorded the loss for the Mustangs, tallying 8 saves.



The Morrisville State men's soccer team returns home to face conference foe Lancaster Bible College Friday, September 9 at 4 p.m. on Drake Field.
