Morrisville State women roll to conference win, defeat Wilson 17-4

The Morrisville State College women's lacrosse team picked up their fourth straight victory, rolling to a 17-4 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over Wilson College Sunday afternoon in Morrisville.



The Mustangs improve to 4-4 overall, and remain undefeated in conference action at 4-0. Wilson drops to 0-9 overall, 0-5 in NEAC play.



Morrisville State tallied the first four goals of the contest before Wilson was able to put one on the board, but the Mustangs responded with four additional scores for the 8-1 advantage at the half.



In the second, the Wilson defense was unable to hold the Mustangs as they tallied nine additional scores en route to the 17-4 victory.



Hillary Hartnett (Fairport, NY) led the Mustangs with five goals and an assist, while Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, NY) added four scores, assisting another. Alison Falkenburgh (Bayport, NY) posted the hat trick to round out top scoring as four additional players each netted one apiece.



Allison Strub (Clifton Springs, NY) made seven saves in net for the win.



Jami DeVanie led Wilson with two scores. Elizabeth Bush and Jess Menard each added one for the Phoenix.



Charis Brenneman posted 15 saves in net in the loss.



Morrisville State returns to the field Thursday, traveling to non-conference rival Oswego.



Beginning with the 2010 season, North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) members

Cazenovia, College of St. Elizabeth, Keuka, Medaille, Penn State - Abington, SUNY Morrisville, Wells, and Wilson will play as associate members of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) in a West Division. Each division will hold a championship and the two divisional champions will meet to determine the conference champion.
