New Berlin resident named executive director of advancement at Morrisville State College

MORRISVILLE, NY— Lisa Iannello, of New Berlin, has been named Morrisville State College’s executive director of advancement and executive director of the Morrisville College Foundation.

In this role, Iannello will lead the institutional advancement office in fundraising and scholarship efforts, and also oversee alumni affairs and the foundation board. 

Iannello joined MSC in 2013 as grants coordinator, also serving as the interim executive director at the Norwich Campus of Morrisville State College during part of that time. 

Her extensive administrative and fundraising experience includes working as a development officer at the Malignant Hyperthermia Association of the US, in Sherburne, and the NYS Historical Association and The Farmer’s Museum, in Cooperstown. She also served as executive director and special events coordinator for the Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival. 

“Lisa’s multitude of experience is sure to garner support for the college and our students,” said Morrisville State College President, David Rogers. “I am confident that she will do an excellent job leading our advancement efforts.” 

Active in her community, Iannello is a member of the New Berlin Art Forum and the Earlville Opera House. Her professional affiliations include serving on the University Colleges Research Council and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. 

A gifted artist and designer, Iannello works with acrylics on stretched canvas, often painting in the plein aire style, taking her supplies and easel on location. 

A founding member of the Plein Air Painters of CNY, her work has been exhibited throughout the region, including at the Climates of Change CNY Art Poetry and Theater Festival, the Earlville Opera House, and the Made in Chenango Art Gallery. Her work is on permanent display at United Health Services, in Vestal, and is also in corporate and private collections throughout the United States. 

Iannello earned a bachelor of fine and applied art in medical illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology. 

She and her husband, Michael Wesolowski, live in New Berlin, with their son, Evan. 

Morrisville State’s curricula are enriched with applied learning and pave the way for opportunity at both the Morrisville and Norwich campuses.
