Oneonta uses second half to escape Morrisville State field hockey

Host Oneonta State field hockey used a four goal second half to escape visiting Morrisville State College with a 6-1 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory Friday afternoon in Oneonta.



Oneonta held a two goal lead at the break, before Morrisville State's Rebecca Meyer (Morrisville, NY) posted a goal for the Mustangs on a corner pass from Brandi Rafalko (Great Meadows, NJ) minutes into the second half.



Oneonta broke open the scoring in the final 20 minutes, adding four additional tallies for the 6-1 final.



Laura Blumenfeld (Rockland, NY) had six saves in the loss for the Mustangs, who fall to 0-11 overall, and 0-4 in conference play.



Morrisville State returns to the field Wednesday, hosting Elmira College at 4 p.m. on Drake Field.
