Morrisville State College hunt seat rider, Teal Pedersen (Manorville, NY) placed fourth overall in the intermediate equitation over fences class at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championships held in Lexington, Kentucky Thursday.
Pederson initially placed third at the Zone Championships in the class, but due to an ineligible rider, she moved up to second place and earned the chance to compete for a national title.
The regional champion in intermediate equitation on the flat and runner-up in intermediate equitation over fences is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State.
