Quackenbush, Meyer named SUNYAC All-Conference

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its 2011 Field Hockey All-Conference Teams, naming Morrisville State College's Rebecca Quackenbush (Barker, NY) and Rebecca Meyer (Morrisville, NY) to its first and second teams.



Quackenbush led Morrisville State in scoring, recording 11 goals and an assist on the season for 23 points in 18 games played. One of her goals was a game winner in the overtime thriller against Elmira.



Tied for fifth in the conference in goals scored per game (0.61), Quackenbush also was ranked eighth overall in points scored per game (1.28).



The sophomore is majoring in travel and tourism: hospitality management at Morrisville State. She is a 2010 graduate of Barker High and is the daughter of Bonnie and Michael Quackenbush of Barker.



Meyer earns second team honors following a four goal, four assist performance on the season. In 18 starts at forward, Meyer was second on the team in scoring with 12 team points, and was often the playmaker on the field.



In her career with the Mustangs, Meyer has posted seven goals and assisted seven others for 21 career points.



The junior is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State and is a 2005 graduate of Morrisville-Eaton High. She is the daughter of Nancy Pistley and Ed Meyer of Morrisville.
