St. Elizabeth rolls to win over Morrisville State women

Visiting College of St. Elizabeth women's basketball picked up a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win Sunday afternoon, cruising to the 80-55 victory over host Morrisville State College in Morrisville.



Morrisville State drops to 5-18 overall, 5-15 in conference action.



Diane Da Silva led the Soaring Eagles with 22 points, adding 10 assists for the double-double performance while teammate Maesoon Deeb contributed 21 while grabbing 15 boards. Sabrina Jarmolinski rounded out top scoring for St. Elizabeth with 18 points.



Forward Nijah Townsend (Bronx, NY) led the Mustang efforts, recording 22 points and 11 boards while Nijee Scott (Bronx, NY) added 16. Dyshea Smiley (Harlem, NY) had nine assists in the loss.



It was a back and forth contest until St. Elizabeth went on a 12-0 run to close the first half with a 36-27 lead at the break. In the second, they forced 13 Morrisville State turnovers en route to a 28 point lead.



Morrisville State returns to the court Wednesday, on the road at SUNYIT for a 5 p.m. tip.
