Morrisville State College's athletic director, Greg Carroll, along with head men's basketball coach, Joseph Smith, announced the addition of Justin Stern as an assistant coach on the men's basketball staff for the 2011-12 season.

Stern comes to Morrisville State from his alma mater, Jamesville-Dewitt High School, where he served as an assistant coach for the past two seasons, during which the Red Rams claimed their fourth straight New York State Championship Title.

A 2010 graduate of Keuka College with a Bachelor of Science degree in education studies, Stern was a two-year member of the Storm's men's basketball team. Prior to Keuka, Stern enjoyed a two-year basketball career at Onondaga Community College, where he earned All-Mid State Athletic Conference Player honors, National Junior College Athletic Association Player of the Week honors, and Mid State Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors.

An All-League selection in high school, Stern was a member of the undefeated New York State Championship Basketball Team for Jamesville Dewitt in 2004, and also competed in baseball for the Red Rams.

Stern continues to be active in the camp and clinic circuit, serving as a camp coach and counselor at both the Onondaga Community College and Macs Hoop Star Basketball Camps in Syracuse.
