Turner leads Morrisville State men to win over Abington

Junior guard Wayne Turner (Brooklyn, NY) recorded a collegiate best 30 points to lead the Morrisville State College men's basketball team to a 84-75 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over host Penn State Abington Saturday afternoon in Abington.



Morrisville State improves to 8-11 overall with the win, 6-7 in conference action.



Turner hit 11-of-17 shots from the floor, and was perfect from the free throw line, hitting 7-of-7, while adding seven rebounds to his tallies in the win for the Mustangs.



Morrisville State trailed 40-37 at the break and went on a 10-0 run in the second half to take the lead for good with 13 minutes remaining, posting as many as an 11 point advantage over the Nittany Lions.



Dwayne Wade (Beacon, NY) added 14 points and five boards and Darren Green (Greece, NY) 13 points and 10 rebounds to round out top scoring in the win for the Mustangs.



Morrisville State returns to the court Sunday at Penn State Berks.
