Von Packal named assistant men's soccer coach at Morrisville State

Morrisville State College athletic director, Greg Carroll, and head men's soccer coach, Kyle Graves, announced the addition of Hanns Von Packal as assistant coach in the fall 2011.



Von Packal comes to Morrisville from Cazenovia High School where he served as the head coach of the girls' varsity program. Prior to his stint at Cazenovia, he served as head coach of the Odyssey Soccer Club, and had been involved with several camps and clinics; including serving as a DFBA head youth clinician for five years.



Von Packal brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the men's program, having enjoyed playing experiences with the Styx n Kicks U13-16 program, the ODP Regional U13-17 team, Liederkranz (a German Club Team based in Albany), the Deutsche Fussball Bund von Amerika Kaisers, and the Krajnik FC in Utica. While involved with Styx n Kicks, Von Packal won a New York State Cup Championship and enjoyed further success as outdoor league champions with Krajnik FC.



A defensive midfielder, Von Packal received an invitation to tryout with the Portland Timbers, an American Professional Soccer Club that competes in the Major League.



Von Packal received his United States Soccer Federation Level E license, and currently holds a DFBA A lizenz, DFBA Advanced A lizenz, and a DFBA Vorgesetzter lizenz.



The Clinton, N.Y. native received his French and American degree from Le Cordon Bleu in Pittsburgh in 2004.
