Women's cross country finishes 9th, men 10th at Cazenovia Homecoming Invitational

The Morrisville State College women's cross country team placed 9th out of 10 teams at the Cazenovia Homecoming Invitational 5K.



D'Ashley Landry (Lake Grove, N.Y.) led the Mustangs placing 58th out of 86 runners with a time of 26:41.1, while Victoria Lanquah (Bronx, N.Y.) finished closely behind, placing 59th with a time of 26:46.0. Kristen Offringa (Napanoch, N.Y.) followed next for Morrisville State with a time of 27:11.2, earning her a 64th place finish. Hillary Courtwright (Chittenango, N.Y.), Brittany Ellis (Camillus, N.Y.) and Jalisa Aydelo (Hempstead, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring for the Mustangs, placing 71st, 73rd and 82nd, respectively.



The men's cross country team placed 10th out of 10 teams in the 8K run.



Andrew Klampert (Scarsdale, N.Y.) finished first for the Mustangs, placing 51st out of 95 runners with a time of 33:59.6. Basil McKenzie (Brooklyn, N.Y.) followed with a time of 35:03.4, placing 58th, while Jonathon Mahan (Oswego, N.Y.) finished closely behind in 59th place with a time of 35:11.1. Justin Sorrento (Manlius, N.Y.), Tyler Wellington (Cayuga, N.Y.) and Adam Collins (North Syracuse, N.Y.) completed the scoring for Morrisville State, finishing 67th, 73rd and 84th, respectively.



The Morrisville State cross country teams are back on the course in two weeks for the CCOC Championship being held at William Smith College on Saturday, October 15.
